Defects Inspections

Damp, condensation, water penetration, cracks and structural movement are the most common cause of building defects. Whether it’s a one-off investigation or follow-up to a building survey report, our defect reporting service will give you a thorough analysis of the building’s defects, together with advice and options for repairs and approximate costs.

Where appropriate, we will arrange for other consultants to provide additional expert advice. We will then draw up a repairs schedule, select suitable and approved contractors and oversee the works through to completion.

Our Defects Inspections

We normally carry out an initial inspection, which may include an element of intrusive investigation, and present our findings in a report. Where we have been able to identify the cause of the problem, the report will detail the work required to put things right. In some cases we may need to recommend further investigations.
